Pres. Day.

We decided to go to Utah for our Presidents Day weekend! We hadn't see my family in 2 months and I was missing them ALOT! We had a fun FUN weekend! Cousins came over, board games, bike rides, shopping, NPS, Cafe Rio and flying helicopters! I sure do LOVE my family! It is always so hard for me to leave them! So lucky to have such a wonderful family and a fabulous husband! loves.

We had to try out Chloe's Masks for Sweethearts.. since she didn't use them! Aren't they cute?!

Meg was our lil bike riding buddy! We went biking when it was snowing! Freezzzzing but very FUN! :)

Valentines Day.

This was our very first Valentines Day together! It was a good day :) I woke up to this on the kitchen table...

a HUGE card! He made a poster board into a card! & he also gave me a rose! I sure do love him!

The day ended by going to see The Vow!

Niece #5 = Briella

Our little niece #5 was born on Feb. 6th. She is such a beautiful little thing! Tons of dark, black hair. Kyle and I went to meet her, and I could not put her down. She was sound asleep the whole time. Kyle said that she was saying goodbye to all her friends in Heaven. Probably true! Its amazing that not very long ago she was with our Heavenly Father. She has such a sweet little spirit! The most beautiful baby in the whole hospital! :) Congrats Lewis Family! Sooo excited for you guys! They named her Briella Natalee Lewis :)

Lesson Learned.

Wowwww.. what an interesting week! Glad I made it through it. This is how it went... Kyle and I have been watching for a bigger apartment because ours is just so squishy. One day when Kyle was at work I looked on line and found a managing job! (which is even better and would is very rare) We would live in a basement with 3 bedrooms!! And there are 8 guys that live upstairs that we would manage for. DREAM COME TRUE RIGHT?? Well, Kyle immediately called the guy in charge and we both got off work early and went and looked at the apartment. It was old but pretty big and we thought it would work out perfect for us. The guy in charge told us that we would be the perfect couple that he would put us at the very top of the list. (There were over 30 people that called on it) We went home prayed about it but we both didn't really recieve an answer. Kyle was pretty excited about it but I felt like I just had a huge question mark in my head. We went and looked at it a second time. We decided that we would go for it but we would have to sell the rest of our contract for our apartment first because we wouldn't want to pay rent for two apartments. Well.. we got a lot of calls of people that were interested in our apartment but everyone wanted it in April which wouldn't work for us. It seemed like nothing was working out but we continued to be patient and continued to pray. I swear those two nights I just laid in bed worrying about the situation. The next morning for some reason I wasn't feeling very good about moving into the managing apartment. I called my Dad and he gave me some great advice and I called Kyle and started crying to him about how stressed out I was about the whole deal. I was worried that we would lose out on a lot of money that we have already put down for the apartment we live in now. He calmed me and told me we would talk when he got home. After hanging up with him, he sent me a text that said, "no managing, we aren't gonna do it". We both realized that Heavenly Father knows what is best for us. There was obviously a reason that the whole process wasn't working out. I am sooo thankful for a Heavenly Father that loves me, and my husband and for the spirit that guides us and helps us make correct decisions. My testimony grew from that experience. We both really wanted to move and thought it would be perfect for us, but someone knew better that it wasn't where we were supposed to be. I would say that this scripture would sum up our week: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” (Prov. 3:5.) Life goes on.. we are still living in our tiny apartment & we love it.

Sledding

Tonight Kyle and I went sledding with our brand new sled and tube. It was a blast!! I did get the wind knocked out of me once after going over a huge bump, but don't worry, I'm still ok! We biffed it a couple of times too but otherwise we had a blast! YAY FOR SNOW! :]] and donuts and milk afterwards! Being married to my best friend is the absolute best thing ever! :)

A weekend FULL of FUN!

This past weekend has been a busy but great one!

FRIDAY: It started out with some pretty exciting news! Kyle doesn't have to work until ten o'clock anymore, YAY, he got a new position at his work, which means he works from 9 to 5 now, which also means that I won't feel so lonely anymore! I am soo happy that I will be able to see his sweet lil face more often! He loves his new position, so that is wonderful news. The weekend started out great when we both got off work at 5 o'clock. We went to Papa Murpheys and picked up a pizza! Then we headed out to Heise (a hot springs swimming pool). It was fun to go on a little date with my honey! :) After that we picked up our niece Hailey, & had a sleepover!

SATURDAY: She was a lot of fun! The big hit was playing just dance 3! We made cookies and played games! Later that evening we had a breakfast dinner with Kyle's parents, Kyle was very entertaining.. like always! :) OH and also it rained all day today and our front window exploded with water, wet towels, wet everything, wet wet wet.

SUNDAY: Now on to Sunday, I got a calling as the compassionate service leader! I am so excited and can't wait to serve those people in my ward! Our weekend ended by playing some games with two couples in our ward! It was a BLAST! Kyle and I are so happy that we have finally meet married couple friends! What a great weekend! and off to another week! Happy Sunday! :)
